Business Honors Program

Participating students take 24 hours of Honors credit in the 8 areas listed below.  Additionally, students starting in the fall of 2010 or later are required to take the Honors Foundational Seminar in their first year.  All Honors students must present a senior thesis/project completed through the Honors Program or in their major department.

The Honors course requirements are composed of 30 credit hours:

Other Helpful Guidelines

  • Honors Students do NOT take T-level courses. Once you are in the Honors Program, any T-level course you take will be counted as a general elective.
  • Students are permitted to do a contract course only as a last resort and in exceptional circumstances, by the discretion of the Honors Director(s).
  • Natural science majors may take Honors seminars in the biology, chemistry, or physics to meet their Honors requirement. 
  • "Seminar on Global Issues" (HIST H235 033), is a 1.5 credit hour course designed to help students who are interested in applying for prestigious fellowships and scholarships. This course will only count as a general elective.
